Dr. Nan Hodge is a highly accomplished podiatrist with more than two decades of experience in advanced foot and ankle care. She specializes in diabetic foot management, complex wound care, and the treatment of challenging foot deformities. Throughout her career, Dr. Hodge has been dedicated to improving patient outcomes through both clinical excellence and medical education.

Professional background

Dr. Hodge earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, before pursuing her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. She then completed extensive postgraduate training, including her podiatric residency at Neuman Medical Center/Temple University and an advanced podiatric surgical residency at the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and the University of Utah.

Following her training, Dr. Hodge joined the Salt Lake City VAMC, where she served as a Staff Podiatrist from 2002 to 2021. During her nearly 20-year tenure, she developed particular expertise in diabetic limb care, wound management, and complex podiatric pathology. Dr. Hodge also played a significant role in podiatric education, serving as Externship Director and Assistant Residency Director. In these positions, she supervised residents and fourth-year podiatry students in both clinical and surgical settings and contributed to lectures and curriculum development.

In addition to her work at the VAMC, Dr. Hodge spent several years in private practice at Bountiful Orthopedics, where she treated patients with a wide range of lower extremity conditions using both conservative and surgical approaches.

Board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Hodge has maintained active licensure in Utah and has been a contributing member in professional organizations such as APMA and ABPM.

Outside of her clinical duties, Dr. Hodge has served on key medical committees, including chairing the Medical Records Committee at the VA Medical Center and participating in hospital-wide initiatives such as the Sharps Committee.

Dr. Hodge continues to uphold her long-standing dedication to patient-centered podiatric care and medical excellence.
